Has it ever crossed your mind that "God" is not an actual name, but simply a title? That's why you hear several different religions using it to describe the one they turn to. And in movies and shows, they use the term several different ways as well. It's thrown around with no uniqueness at all.

Growing up, I learned to just call Him "God." Even in Church, that was what they called Him. His true name was never spoken or brought up by anyone! If someone were to walk up to me back then, before I knew what I know now, and asked me, "Who is your God?" I wouldn't even be able to answer them because I had no clue The Most High had a name. And there's a big reason that they didn't want us to know, BUT we'll get to that a different time.

The original bible was written in Hebrew. The Hebrew bible has the original Name of our Heavenly Father AND the true Name of our Savior. As well as the true names of the disciples and people. Every section of your bible that has the word "Lord" is where our Creator true Name was once written. And instead of the term "God" being used in the original Hebrew bible, "Alahym" was the word used to describe The Most High.

Alahym (or Elohim): meaning "God."

So, our Alahym, His Name is YAHUAH. And if you go to Psalm 68:4 (Tehillim 68:4), you will see JAH (YAH), for short, which is also what He was referred to. Now, back in that time, the letter "J" wasn't even created yet. YAH is what stood in place of the "J." Think about when you say the word, "Hallelujah." Say it slower. HalleluYAH. You have unknowingly been saying His Name this whole time. And it doesn't matter what version of the bible you have, you will see His Name written right there in the verse I mentioned above.

*Psalm 68:4 (KJV) "Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him."

*Tehillim 68:4 (ISR) "Sing to Elohim, sing praises to His Name. Raise up a highway for Him who rides through the deserts, by His Name YAH, and exult before him."

Majority of the translations you are reading, it will have YAH's Name in that specific verse. However, the NLT version has taken His Name out and replaced it. And that proves my point above! They changed His Name to "Lord." Very soon, I will address what the term "Lord" really means.

"YAH" meaning "I Am"

Yahu meaning "Yah is"

YAHUAH meaning "Yah is Self-Existence"

All the places that "Lord" is written in these modern day bibles, is where our Heavenly Father Name originally was.

Question: What if someone asked you what your name is? And you told them. But they turn to the next person and tell them that your name is something completely different. How would you feel? When we introduce ourselves, we introduce ourselves by what we want to be called, correct? Okay. What makes people think that our Heavenly Father would want to be called by anything but what He has stated His Name to be?

*Psalm 91:14 (KJV) "Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name."

*Tehillim 91:14 (ISR) "Because he cleaves to Me in love, therefore I deliver him; I set him on high, because he has known My Name."

I know there will be many people that will say, "Well, it doesn't really matter. He is called multiple things." He has one name, people. Just like you were born with ONE full name. Just like how my name is Jasmine. If someone walked up to me and called me "Erica," I would look at them like they were crazy because who is that?" Lol. That is not my name.

So why wouldn't our Heavenly Father want the same respect? In the bible, he mentions over and over again how important His Name is. So, I will leave you with this handy dandy verse below!

*Amos 5:8 (ISR) "He who made Kimah and Kesil, and who turns the shadow of death into morning and darkened day into night, who is calling for the waters of the sea and pours them out on the face of the earth - YAHUAH is His Name."
